Camping Ascain on the Basque Coast<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ascain<\/strong> is about 20 minutes from Camping Village Eskualduna<\/strong> (4 stars). Located at the foot of La Rhune<\/strong>, the emblematic mountain of the Basque Country<\/strong>, with its many prehistoric remains (megaliths and cromlechs). Crossed by the River Nivelle, this picturesque village is the ideal starting point for your ascent of La Rhune. But you can also opt for the Little Rack Train, which dates back to 1924. From the summit, you can contemplate the entire Basque Coast<\/strong> as far as the Landes in the north and the Cantabrian coast in the south. A must!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you prefer to get closer to the ocean, Saint Jean de Luz<\/strong> is less than fifteen minutes from Ascain. Our campsite near Ascain<\/strong> is located on the Hendaye beach<\/strong> (with free shuttle bus in season) in the heart of the Basque Country<\/strong>. Its geographical proximity to Ascain<\/a> makes it an ideal stopover on the way to other villages such as Sare, Saint-P\u00e9e-sur-Nivelle<\/a> and Espelette<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
