Between natural heritage and cultural richness, the Basque Country will surprise your senses and your spirit. Just a stone’s throw from the 4-star Eskualduna campsite, the many surf schools on Hendaye beach introduce young and old to the pleasures of surfing and scuba diving.

From the beach, just look up to admire the famous Château d’Abbadia and its immense, breathtakingly beautiful listed estate.

Our privileged geographical location means you can discover a thousand wonders less than 45 minutes away by car.

Oihana Adventure Park

A partner of the campsite for many years, the Oihana Adventure Park is the largest high ropes course on the Basque coast.
Between the sea and the mountains, in Urrugne, the whole Parc Oihana team awaits you to share in the thrills of more than 106 workshops spread over 7 levels, from age 4 upwards.

They also offer PaintBall, which takes place in a wooded play area of over 1000m2. The caches are made entirely of natural materials (pallets, wooden crosses, barrels, logs, flattened tree trunks, wooden bunkers, etc.).

This activity is open to children aged 7 and over, and to adults aged 12 and over. Adult and children’s equipment have different characteristics and meet European standards of use.

HENDAYE VOILE Sailing School

Alone, in a group or with the whole family, come aboard a sailboat, take the helm and take part in the manoeuvres!

These outings are all about conviviality, meeting new people and enjoying a good time.

Whether you’re a beginner (crew) or an expert (skipper), if you want to sail on a liveaboard sailboat and learn to cruise, let the waves carry you along!

Join them and glide with the wind, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. They’ll show you the beauty and character of the Basque ports, from Biarritz to San Sebastian and beyond!

Hendaye surf school : Hendaia

Located on Hendaye Plage opposite the surf zone, the Hendaia French surf school invites you to discover the sport of the Hawaiian kings in a unique setting.

Considered the “green slope” of surfing, Hendaye beach is ideal for beginners and advanced surfers alike.

This school, accredited by the French Surfing Federation, offers introductory and advanced surfing and stand-up paddle lessons, supervised by state-certified professionals. They welcome you to a spacious 80 m2 facility equipped with changing rooms, showers and storage areas.

With their partners Quiksilver and Roxy, the French surf school Hendaia also offers surf camp packages in campsites or holiday centers, with or without catering, in structures combining comfort and proximity.

Quad biking Hendaye

Between the mountains and the ocean, an all-terrain outdoor adventure.

Micka and his team will introduce you to the Basque mountains on a quad bike. Located at the foot of the slopes, we’ll set you up with panoramic views of La Rhune, the bay of Saint Jean de Luz and the crêtes des contrebandiers (smugglers’ ridges) along the Pyrenean foothills.

Various themed quad tours are available, from 1 hour to a full day.

Sea fishing l’Hendayais II

For the past dozen years, the HENDAYAIS II has been organizing fishing trips at sea, allowing visitors to discover and admire the Basque coastline on a variety of guided cruises, themed trips for groups and schools, night cruises and special events.
