Visit the Basque Country on holiday

Camping tourism in the Basque Country: discover our towns and villages

Our Village Eskualduna Camping is located in Hendaye (64700) in the Basque Country.

Need a break? Need to take a trip with your family, relax and recharge your batteries? Need to live each second of your holiday fully, take advantage of each sumptuous minute, explore, enjoy the sunshine, walk through the water… Our campsite in the Basque Country has something for everyone… All you have to do is choose!

The Basque Country and the Basque Coast are above all else a region with a strong identity, full of many histories and traditional cuisine where seafood meets locally grown products, nature walks, mountains plunging directly into the sea… A sunny coast with beaches (some of the most beautiful on the coast) that are shaped by the tides and the sea that crashes against the rocks, carving out the cliffs. A hilly interior, full of pretty and colorful traditional villages.

Activities in the Basque Country

If you are an athlete and enjoy active holidays, adrenaline, and learning something new, you won’t be disappointed: walking along the coastline near the campsite, heading up the Rhune for a spectacular view of the entire coast, or heading down on a bike or all-terrain scooter, guided ATV tours in the interior of the Basque Country, or even rafting or canyoning. Adrenaline rush guaranteed!  It’s impossible to get bored!

If you prefer to enjoy local cuisine and delicacies during your holiday, there are a wide variety of delicious dining options! Basque cuisine is generous and constantly evolving. You simply can’t leave without trying gâteau basque, Espelette peppers, a good sheep’s milk cheese, or ham or chocolate from Bayonne.

Discover the riches of the Basque Coast

Tourism when you camp in the Basque Country also means culture, history and exploring, museums and aquariums, many castles and caves, as well as architecture specific to each region that will catch your eye.

If for you, holidays mean nature, enjoy the fresh air in the preserved areas as you hike along trails for all levels, beginners to experts, through the valleys of the Basque Country. You will find wonders along these paths once used by shepherds, quenching your thirst for adventure.

And if you prefer to relax and rest up during your holiday, our Basque Country Camping Eskualduna is the perfect place: nothing better than a good nap in the shade, followed by a splash in the pool just a few steps from your camping pitch. And for a gorgeous ending to a wonderful day, dinner with family or friends at the Campsite Restaurant, with an ice cream as you enjoy the show led by our team of counselors. Nothing like it to recharge your batteries!
